For Immediate Release:

(eWebWire.com) June 09, 2010 — WORLD WIDE WEB, June 09, 2010 (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) — Securing the residential premises is the first line of defense for the executive against kidnapping.

Kidnappers will strike the selected target at a time or place or in a manner for which he or she is unprepared. Prior to moving into your in-country residence, you should make examinations to determine if the neighborhood, your residence or the people in the vicinity pose a risk.

"Ensure that your residence is not in a secluded area that affords obscured visibility," said Martice Berry, Presidnet of EEP.

Kidnappers like isolation. Without looking suspicious, cruise around the neighborhood prior to moving in.Make sure there are several routes in and out of the neighborhood, and choose a neighborhood where at least one road surface is paved.

Keep in mind that dense neighborhood traffic assists kidnappers on pre-kidnap surveillance to maintain anonymity. Avoid residential areas that have roads where chaotic driving practices, pedestrians, scooters and animals on the roadway may pose risks for car accidents. Kidnappers use this type of environment to their advantage by staging false car accidents, snatching executives, merging with the crowd, avoiding detection and making their escape.
