LYRICKAL
Dwayne Morris Jimison, Jr. started mimicking Eric B and Rakim from a very, very early age back in Louisiana. His father took a stand at that young an age so Dwayne decided to learn how to rhyme on his own. Later, it was Tupac that inspired his creativity. With steady progress, Dwayne became that rapper with a sense of style an ownership that he always wanted to me. He owned it – along with that swagger than came with it. This gave him the confidence to show off his talents on a Carnival Cruise line at the age of 15. Going through several other stage names and his relocation after Hurricane Katrina, he returned to his home land of Louisiana with the stage name of Mr. Lyrical “Da Asasin”. He is the owner of Soulja Breed Productions and Soulja Breed Elite Record and Fingah Lick’n catering.
Lyrical’s newest single, “All I Need”, is off of his new CD, “A.E. – After Evolution – Installment 1”. “The significance of this name is to educate my fans and all the ears my music meets and what really matters as well as to let them know I am not just a lyricist but also a friend, father, lover and companion.”. This song is about companionship, love and the role it plays in a working artist’s life. It has a soulful beat, great lyrics and a cool rhythm. The tempo is upbeat and it’s truly easy on the ears. This is a song that you would download on your i-pod, no doubt. This song is also a good representative of how Lyrickal’s arrangement technique truly highlights his natural talent. His songs are beautifully put together and performed.
Prior to “A.E. – After Evolution – Installment 1”, he had released numerous mixtapes:
“Next 2 Blow” is a mixtape released in New Orleans, Louisiana
“It’s Cold Out Chi” unreleased through South Pole Records
“The Asasin-nation Begins Now” is a mixtape series which is yet untitled
“Soulja Breed Elite Volume One”
All of the above mentioned mixtapes are of punk, rap, R & B, electronic and house music.
