Linium’s experts spoke to over 300 participants during information sessions offered at HP Software Universe 2010, held June 15-18 at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center with special events at the Newseum in Washington DC – where daily visitors experience five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and hands-on exhibits. Conference attendees participated in more than 200 track sessions and 95 roundtables delivered by HP experts. Customers and partners paid close attention to the immediate actions their companies can take to cut costs and improve business services. Conference key note speakers included award-winning journalist, Sam Donaldson, as host, HP’s Bill Veghte on industry trends, and HP strategy five-time Olympian, Dara Torres.

The Linium sessions of interest lead/co-lead by Linium BTO Director Melanie Worth, focused on HP Service Manager solutions for problems confronting many organizations as they strive to match their business processes with their IT initiatives – sessions entitled Release Synergy: Automating release management with HP Service Manager, Release Control, and Server and Case Study: Building a Solid Configuration Management Foundation Through HP Universal CDMB federation with HP Service Manager, Release Control, and Server Automation brought home the importance and organizational benefits realized from managed change through a well-defined, automated release process, as well as case study lessons from multiple source data integration via HP Universal CMDB.

Both sessions also offerred advice, potential pitfall, and real-world examples, in addition to helpful pieces of information direct from the field for those organizations considering similar implementations.
