(eWebWire.com) January 29, 2010 — WORLD WIDE WEB, January 29, 2010 (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE)

Great America is currently producing a new series on regaining your youth, highlighting some of the top doctors, procedures and products that are helping millions of Americans to turn back the hands of time.  Not only is aging important, but aging well is paramount.

In today’s scientific world people are constantly looking to innovative ways to live longer, and remain healthier.  This is especially true in conjunction with America’s number one killer – heart disease.  Unfortunately, certain risk factors such as family history and gender cannot be changed. However, by modifying other risk factors, the odds of having a heart attack can be substantially reduced.  One example is the modification of cholesterol.  The executive producer of the series said, “Dietary modification is the first step in controlling bad cholesterol levels. A healthy diet should limit total cholesterol intake to no more than 300 milligrams per day.  Total fat intake of less than 40 grams per day will aid in weight loss and lipid management.  Different types of fats exert different effects on cholesterol levels. So what you put into your body counts.  Age modification and the affect it has on your heart can be managed by a healthy diet.”

Other factors obviously hinder how well your body is modified to make the most of your life.  Cigarette smoking is arguably the greatest threat to a healthy heart. Cigars are also linked to higher incidences of heart disease. Your primary care physician can provide suggestions about the current therapies and drugs that help you stop smoking.  But, it is not simply about removing the bad but putting in the good.  For example, aerobic exercise helps protect against heart disease. The greatest benefit is achieved with at least three 30-minute exercise sessions per week. Activities do not need to be strenuous. Walking, swimming or bike riding are some of the easier habits to adopt.

In this series Great America will be covering important Age Modification procedures and how Americans can change their lives through new techniques, new trends and new technologies.
