For Immediate Release:

(eWebWire.com) June 01, 2010 — WORLD WIDE WEB, June 01, 2010 (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) — DOCTOR ROBERT

Robert Binford (aka Doctor Robert) began writing and composing music at the age of 12. As a child, he taught himself to play the piano which progressed to studying music theory and composition. Moving to Southern California didn’t deter him from his goals. He signed up for as many extracurricular programs, one being choir. He had a natural talent in that field and decided to take voice lessons. He attended Chapman University as a vocal performance major with a minor in piano composition. He moved back to Chicago prior to his completion of his studies in Southern California. He began to study Philosophy at Purdue University Calumet, but he didn’t turn away from music. He began to play open mic nights in 1995 and has been dabbling in his music for the last ten years. A few years ago he purchased some music production and recording software and started recording at home. He wrote a spoof song “40 Is The New 20” for a friend’s 40th birthday and enjoyed it so much that he began to write more songs with a new pop/electronic touch. This gave birth to his latest project.

Doctor Robert’s lead single, “Shagged” is off of his new CD, “The Infection”. This song is Doctor Robert’s response to Katy Perry’s ‘Kissed A Girl’, putting the shoe on the other foot. This song is a definite club song. It’s beat and extraordinary vocals are a standout. The lyrics are not for sensitive ears. Doctor Roberts has the ability to be very creative with his music and enjoy the fun creating extraverted, edgy and ‘out there’ type of songs. He’s letting everyone know who he really is. Well, you can take it from me. His music IS fun to listen to! It’s glorious, spontaneous, surprising and enjoyable all at the same time. His music reminds me of Studio 54– those wondrous days where people were free to be free.

He has also released “22 Keys To The Kingdom” last year. It was a music study of 22 major Arcane of the Tarot. He is proud of this project, even though it wasn’t truly marked well. However, and most importantly, you can listen to and/or purchase any of his songs and information about other projects by logging onto:
