For Immediate Release:

(eWebWire.com) August 12, 2010 — WORLD WIDE WEB, August 12, 2010 (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE)

Dena Shomali has had a passion for music since she was 4 years old. Hailing from Indiana, she now is just one step away from seeing her life-long dream come true by earning a place in the “Final Four” of a competition to be the opening act for Christian artist Matthew West. She is also one small step away from having the opportunity to sing on a major Christian recording label. Even though she’s still a young lady, Dena’s Christian music pilgrimage has been an extensive one. She has described her parents as always having been “very heavily involved with music in the church.” From that foundational upbringing, she branched out to earn a BS degree in Music at the University of Indianapolis. Her extensive background includes performances with ballets and orchestra, musical theatre, choral groups, and solo acts. Dena is not only an exceptional vocalist, she’s also an accomplished pianist who teaches both voice and piano privately, is a studio musician, a member of the Indianapolis Arts Chorale, and the music director of her church. Dena says that through all of her education and experience, she has learned “that nothing is as sweet and satisfying as bringing glory to God” through the gifts He has given her. She also relates that “outside of salvation, there is no greater gift that the Lord could have given me than my family. The most wonderful husband in the world just happens to be mine. Jerry and I have two beautiful children, a young son named Blake and a baby daughter named Rose. Our children are a joy and a blessing!”

You can be part of history by voting for Dena (or one of the other contestants) at this website http://www.883thewalk.org/pages/7859364.php? Even if she doesn’t win this competition, be watching for Dena in the future as she seeks to pursue her passion to glorify God through song.
