Miami, Florida - Crowned To Be Great (aka C.B.G.) is a duo group with members, McKenzie Corporal (aka Untamed) and Jeff St. George (aka JP) at the helm. Both were born and raised in Miami Dade County. In the beginning, however, there were 4 members with a group name of C.B.G. Cherry Bay Goons. But with the passing of one of their members, Charlie Bell (aka Scoot) and the departure of another member, the duo remained stead fast and continued their quest. Meeting D.C. Bryant on open mic night gave the duo that edge they needed. D.C. Bryant began to develop the group and that was the start of C.B.G’s new sound and new quest.

There are two singles that are being highlighted at this time, “Sticking For My Dog” and “She Such A Rock Star”. The EP is called “The Unexpected”. Sticking For My Dog is “a form of dance for someone you love that has passed away or has been incarcerated for a very long time. “She Such A Rock Star” is for a sexy girl that stands out in a crowd when out partying.” These two songs have great radio and dance appeal. They have great introductions, and are good examples of the versatility of this group. One song highlights the vocal ability and has a more soulful tempo - the other song has a quicker tempo with a more zesty feel to it. Their style of music is pop/hip hop/rock – a blend of all of these gave C.B.G. a unique sound. Their harmonies and lyrics are very well written and performed. They are a definite ‘must buy’ in my book.

C.B.G. is currently working on touring but nothing has been confirmed at this time. They are also working with A & R Select in West Hollywood, Ca. for a record deal, publishing, licensing and/or placement opportunities.
