(eWebWire.com) February 17, 2010 — WORLD WIDE WEB, February 17, 2010 (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) —
Newbern, TN, February 17, 2010. Many attendees and serious bidders braved the ice, snow and freezing cold weather for the opportunity to buy the Waterland Trucking terminal in Newbern, Tennessee recently – which sold at auction for $451,000. “With six multi-purpose buildings on 24 acres on State Highway 211, this was a rare offering for local business owners and/or investors in a very visible location,” according to Mike Ray and Jody Hopkins, project managers for Roebuck Auctions.
“With snow and ice covering the Dyersburg area, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the crowd at this auction. It just goes to show that auctions attract buyers because auctions generate excitement, and that makes a huge difference in selling commercial property in today’s climate (pun intended),” stated John Roebuck, President of Roebuck Auctions. Roebuck went on to say, “Because buyers get involved in the auction process, more so than through alternate methods, a sense of urgency builds on that involvement.”
The seller, Rick Massuch, President of Waterland Trucking, Inc., expressed satisfaction with the success of both this auction as well as a previous multi-state auction managed by Roebuck Auctions earlier in the year as he commented, “We were very pleased with the results and the professionalism of Roebuck Auctions and would work with them again in a heartbeat.”
Roebuck Auctions, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, with offices in Huntsville, Alabama, and Destin, Florida is a full service real estate auction marketing firm that has been selling properties throughout the United States for over 37 years.
