About Moving Mountains

Moving Mountains Inc. is a Brooklyn based 501c3 Non Profit Organization founded by Jamie Hector. Jamie was born and raised in Brooklyn and wanted to create opportunities that specifically target urban youth interested in the performing arts. His original goal was to create a theater company where youth could strengthen and showcase their talents while instilling in them, life skills that build character. However, because of the growing number of participants from the surrounding boroughs, Moving Mountains has blossomed into a more diversified organization with a theater company, a film division, music division, a dance and a personal development component that focuses on individual needs, (be it academic, health, etc.) with many industry professionals coming on board to assist them.
